Paper Bridge Project

Pictorial Sketches
This was the paper bridge project that I did with my partner. We could use one piece of paper and make a bridge as long as possible that stood on two engineering notebooks. We made our bridge 46 inches before it touched the desk.
These were just a few practice isometric drawings that we did on isometric paper.
These were my reverse engineering sketches in my notebook. Every object I had I drew from the right, front, and an oblique perspective. My project I did for reverse engineering is a fishing reel.

My engineering failure project was on The Leaning Tower of Pisa. The tower is off vertical alignment by 4 degrees due to one side of the builing sinking into the ground and the other side not because of two different soils. Also, not enough foundation was poured when it was first being contructed.

Fling Machine

To the right is my fling machine project that my partners and I made. Our materials were two pipecleaners, a pencil, tin foil, a piece of paper, two coffee stirrers, two straws, a balloon, a rubber band, two foam balls, and a cotton ball. Our mission was to fire the cotton ball as far as possible using only these materials. We made a design that was a paper tube with the cotton ball in it, we would fill the balloon up and then release the air out of the balloon. The air coming out of the balloon will launch the cotton ball out of the tube. Our longest shot was 15 ft with the cotton ball. (Video coming soon)
